Pain after exercise :(

I did my first ever work out yesterday and when i woke up my legs were aching so bad, i managed to muscle up another work out and im worried its going to hurt even more tomorrow? (Its in my thigh at the front)

Do i stop or carry on? and how long does it last :(

Carry on. With time you will learn to differentiate between muscular soreness and actual pain caused by an injury.

That's your muscles coming out of atrophy (not really, but that's how I think about it after taking a prolonged break)

It only happens after day one. You did the right thing by working out again. That always seems to lessen the major muscle soreness phase.

My first proper workout, I really could hardly walk for a week. So you're not alone!

Stick with it, take it a little easy if you really need to for a few days. This stage will pass. If you keep working out, you'll be fine.

Congrats on getting started. You won't regret it!

Yes it's probably muscle soreness. Mine can last 2-3 days, but I work out hard.

Aching is good! It means you worked hard. Sharp pain is not good, and if you feel any sharp pains while exercising you should try a different workout or cut down the intensity slightly. Deep stretching after a workout can help ease some of the next-day muscle soreness, and with summer coming up a little ice is always nice :) Congrats on a successful workout!

If I really push myself, I am usually sore 2-3 days, with the second day being the absolute worst! I find that walking and light stretching and ICE helps alot :)
