Why do my joints crack and pop every time I move?

I find it hard to do any type of exercise other than running because my joints (if that's what it is) crack and pop. My knees, my wrists, my shoulders, my back, my ankles, etc.

Does anyone know why this is happening? It has been getting worse since I gained weight

    Hi Dizzylizzie,

First post here but I saw your topic and thought "I've been through that". First caution though - I'm not a doctor and only relating what I experienced, treat this information as you would any other that you source from the internet

I had the same problem a few years ago (to the extent that when I used to go into the kids rooms to tuck them in at night I used to sould like a bunch of castinets and was always worried I would wake them) along with other symptoms such as fatigue and waking up during the night. The doctors diagnosed mild depression, I read as much as I could and thought it may be magnesium deficiency. I started taking magnesium supplements and noticed an immediate change in sleep and fatigue, and over only a few weeks noticed the cracking and popping subsided and now has all but disappeared.

So for me, a simple trip to the shops to get some relatively inexpensive magnesium supplements helped a lot.

    Hope this helps.

No problems, a quick google found this which explains it a bit better.

There doesn't seem to be much information about it though.
