Hi, I really need advice or tips, I think I messed up my metabolism so bad. I eat less than 1000 calories a day, I write down everything I eat or drink, even a single bite, I walk / run 5 times a week, I haven't lost a thing in 4 months, not a single pound, I had my thyroid checked, it came back normal, dr said vitamin D deficiency might be responsible, but I have been on supplements for 5 weeks now, please don't comment to tell me I am eating more than I think, because I am not.
Do you have any thoughts on what could be going on? For the past 2 days I have eaten 600 calories, and I weighted myself now to see the scale has gone UP :(
I tried eating more calories for a couple of weeks, but I was just too afraid to gain weight :(

P.s. I am looking for advice, not judgment, just protecting myself after seeing a few people who respond too harshly to those asking for advice :)

What could be going on? You are eating too little, especially considering your current level of activity and yes, you have thus messed up your metabolism.

If you are serious about losing weight in a healthy way (cuz the way you are going at is in neither healthy or successful), please read

with an open mind and then follow the advice/suggestions offered.

I would say you are eating too little and your body is holding onto that fat for energy. The body does this when it is unsure of where the next meal will come from, like bears during winter. With a sedentary life, you need to consume about 1200 calories JUST to help your body perform, but since you are working out 5 times a week you need to eat those calories back to boost your metabolism. I would say to use the goals and log your food and exercise so you know how much you need to eat to hit your personal goals. Don't think restricting your calories down to nothing means you will lose weight, it's a bit more of a delicate process than that. Good luck! :)
