As the subject states...I am using Bodymedia Armband and taking a 500 calorie deficit. I am not losing weight anymore...so what would you do to get things moving again?

Note - Start weight was 250lbs...Currently at 186.4lbs and aiming for 140-150lbs.

How do you track your intake? Food scale? 500 cal deficit can easily be wiped out over the course of a week using estimates or measuring cups for solids instead of a food scale.

Have you re-calculated your TDEE recently? As you lose weight, it goes down too...

Congratulations on your weight loss! What a wonderful accomplishment!

Is a bodyemdia a heart rate monitor? If so, have you readjusted the settings with your weight loss? AS we get smaller, we need less calories.

On MFP have you reconfigured your calorie intake with the loss of each 10 pounds?

Do you weigh all foods and measure all liquids and log everything you eat? Are you sure your calorie estimates are accurate?

To me, it sounds like you are maintaining, which means you are not in a calorie deficit. This can come about by unintentional underestimating calories in and/or overestimating calories out.

    Good luck!

How much are you eating a day total? Also, how are you exercising? If you're in a plateau, check out this blog a buddy of mine wrote on the subject.

I basically do cardio with light resistance. I was going to the gym for heavier weights in the past, but "Switched things up" so I stopped. My measuring is probably not 100% but close...I am guessing with 500calories it could easily be skewed unless I measure accurately.

How long has this lack of weight loss been occurring? 6 months? Two weeks?

How long have you been stalled? Less than 2-4 weeks, not necessarily a stall. Could be sodium, hormones, etc.

But yes, logging accuracy is important. If you're not weighing, you're easily off an ounce here, an ounce there - and it quickly adds up.
