I know we all have weight goals. What other goals do people want to accomplish like mine is to drop my body fat % by at least 20 %. Also to be able to bench, squat, and,deadlift 200% of my body weight.

Drop down to 15% bodyfat and then spend a year or so with a light bulk (clean as I can make it) to try to put on about 10 pounds of muscle while cutting now and again to maybe drop that bodyfat down to the 10-12% range. Then I suppose moving on to either maintenance or whatever future goal I set for myself.
I'd also like to be able to do bodyweight moves at an athletic level, ie 50 push-ups with no problems, 10 pull-ups, 10k run in a 8 min mile pace etc.
Don't have any heavy lifting goals yet but perhaps. I personally prize the functional strength of a gymnist over the raw strength of a powerlifter.
I was down to 15% bodyfat 3 years ago (see profile pic) but messed it up and let myself go. Just want to get back there for now then move on from there. I've been there so I know my path.0 -
It happens bro. I lost 50 pounds before but everything was incorrect to the point that I saw no change in the mirror and everyone else saw my weight lost.0

Women are most attracted to men with a body fat percentage of 10-12%. I've seen several studies that show that, and have looked at the pictures of men corresponding to different levels and agree that this is what is most attractive. Any less fat than that is not so attractive, and any more is also a little less attractive. Not that I'm that picky, lol, I love my fluffy husband no matter what. But if you're trying to find an ideal to reach as a goal, that might be a good one to try to get to. It's not about giant muscle mass for most women- we like muscle and definition, but sometimes massiveness can be too much.

Saying women are "most" attracted to someone at a certain bf% is assuming women think alike. That's just ignorant. There are plenty of women who love rail thin men and plenty that love huge bear type guys. A ridiculous study does not prove anything on this topic especially when the topic is a matter of opinion and they haven't contacted every women in the planet to get theirs.
Yes you do make sense but I know that the females I talk to are shallow and flock to the better fit muscular men. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Society also plays a main role in this how people should look. I personally am attractive to women with a little more body fat then what society will call attractive. So yes and no to the article posted.0 -
My first goal is to at least drop down to 24% body fat (to start). Another goal is, I would love to do at least 10 REAL push ups at one time.
My goals are really not about the weight, but how I look in my clothes. Since gaining, I cannot fit in any of my clothes and I would love to fit them all and look good in a bikini. It is beach time here in FL and I should have done this right a long time ago!0 -

I'm more attracted to people than bodies, I wouldn't scrutinise down to a % anyway I find that ridiculous. surely you'd have to be lifting up tops and poking with a tape measure to find out that info???!! Who does that? lol

No! To be honest I do not like an obese or overweight man. I do like them fit or at a healthy weight. Does not have to be a muscle man. My girl friend loves some meat on her men and she is a skinny lil thing.
Either way whatever body fat goal these men on here want is their goal, doesn't matter what % bf they choose. It will make them happy.0 -

Every person has there preference. I know my preference and I know a lot of the girls preferences that I talk to. The article makes a lot of sense for where I live.0

No. I am highly attracted to intelligence, great conversation and a guy that can make me laugh. That and he have something he's passionate about in his life. Of course eating healthy (the majority of the time) and staying active is important, but as long as he's happy and confident within himself i could care less what his exact body fat % is.
My goal is to incorporate Ayurveda into my life completely. I wish you the best in your journey and I hope you enjoy every step on the way towards your goals!0 -

How Lose Fat and Gain Muscle at the Same Time
Now, there is one missing key that will make if far easier to lose fat and build muscle at the same time. Rather than simply going on a low-calorie, high-protein diet and lifting weights, you can get much better results if you cycle your caloric intake.
No, this does not mean that you eat while you’re on a bicycle. What it means is that you fluctuate (or cycle) between a period of low caloric intake and weight lifting, and a period of high caloric intake and weight lifting. Although you can lose a significant amount of fat with this strategy, it will allow you to build muscle more quickly than simply dieting.
So how do you use this muscle-building, fat-burning strategy? There are two options. The first option is to eat a low calorie diet, 500-1000 calories lower than your metabolic rate, and make sure you’re consuming adequate protein (read more about how much protein to eat in the article Do Muscle Building Supplements Really Work?) Do this 5-6 days a week. Then 1-2 days a week, eat a higher amount of calories, preferably 500-1000 calories more than what you’re burning.
The second option, which can be much tougher to adhere to, is to eat the same low calorie diet while weight lifting for 3-5 weeks, then spend 1-2 weeks incorporating a higher calorie intake. I can tell you from personal experience that spending 3-5 weeks on a low calorie diet can be mentally and physically challenging!

Do you keep pictures of your progress? It's always good to do that because when you look at them weekly, you can really start to see the differences. This really helps by motivating you because now you can start seeing your progress and how far you've come. And if other people are noticing, than that's great! It's really working!
I look smaller now than when I was 10 pounds smaller my second attempt because I have more muscle and less fat this time around.0 -

It's not that I do not care about cutting/bulking phase. I do not see the point. I would not call 27 pound loss in 86 days slow for body recomposition. Even on weeks I did not lose weight my clothes always get looser.0 -
1) To look good in clothes. I don't care much for naked, that's a kind of take it or leave it thing for me.
2) I want to be able to open a bottlecap without needing Hercules. (True story) Hence I'm doing some push ups.0 -
11% or less body fat. For once in my life I want to not just be a "normal" weight, but shredded. I was getting close once but regained.
I want to keep a decent amount of visual muscle, by my goal look is to be be pretty slim, feel light. Not emaciated looking marathon runner slim but more like a swimmer, your average football (soccer) player, or a lightweight MMA fighter.0
