Calories burned, aerobic vs anaerobic

Quick question here, I'm kind of confused on something.
I just finished up Asylum last week and moved on to Les Mills Combat. I'm finding that I'm burning just as many calories on my HR monitor (close anyway) during Combat as Asylum, or Insanity, but I don't feel like I'm dying.
I'm getting my HR up there, but my AVG is about 10-13 bpm lower than with Insanity and Asylum.
Is it possible that I'm just staying in my zone longer and that burns more calories?
Here's a bit of info:
I'm male, 5'9, 168lb, 35 yo.
During Insanity (started at 190lb), my HR would get as high as 210, my average would be around 172. of course as I went along that dropped a bit.
Asylum, HR on my last workout got to 206, AVG of about 164
Combat last night my HR got to 175, but I averaged 149 and burned about 522 calories, which is almost what I burn during Asylum Vertical Plyo (I burn right around 575-600)
My zone limits are set to 127-166bpm on my watch.
I'm wondering if the fact that I have a higher heart rate when I exercise throws the watch off to an extent. I know these are all just estimates, but it helps. I'm trying to shed these last 10 lbs before going into another phase of working out.
