Advice for Workout

Hello Everyone...not sure someone has posted this before but I wanted some advice. I am currently @ 189lbs & will start working out next week, but my concern is before when doing workouts or zumba, even at a lower weight I would get so much pain in my knees & legs, which would make it hard for me to continue with workout. Maybe I am doing something wrong or maybe I should try a certain workout? Even if walking on a treadmill I get this weird pain on the back of my knee/leg (like if a vain would swell up). It would hurt for days. What can you guys recommend for me? I dont want to start a workout & put a hold cause of this. I am very motivated & want to meet my goals this time without giving up.
