I am a type 1 Diabetic and have been a long-time myfitnesspal friend. My Diagnosis process caused me to gain 25 pounds when I was already fit and not overweight to begine with. I have a very difficult losing weight and am very disciplined with my diet and my exercise. On losing my last few pounds, I finally realized that too much sodium was the reason I was not losing weight. Everything else in my diet as well as exercise was on track, but I was not aware of the amount of sodium in my pre-cooked chopped chicken, salad dressings, tea, spices that I was consuming. I do not have any issues with high blood pressure but looking at my sodium levels and keeping them under 2300 grams a day was the key for me. I just thought I would pass this along in case any one else had similiar problems.
