Hi Friends,

I am hoping to book a last min trip the week that falls on new years (around dec 27th ish)... anyone find that you can get any good deals booking the week before ? Or is new years just expensive no matter how close you book to that date?

Which sites do you usually book with?

Appreciate any help!

    I think it depends on where you are going and what day of the week, but I have had really good luck with last minute holiday travel on travelocity.

    I've been planning a trip to NYC in the first week of January. When I looked at hotels there, they are at their MOST EXPENSIVE RATES the week of Christmas through New Year's day and then they literally PLUMMET to their least expensive rates of the year after that. This is just NYC, but from that, it looks like New Years is fairly expensive no matter what :(

    I've been using expedia.com to find good deals!
