Need advice

I recently updated my diary goals/calories. So, I recently went from being sedentary to active. My calories went from 1800 to 2750. Should I eat all of those calories? Also, I am vegan and tried doing Mcdougall's program..I have cut out all processed food and animal products. I am not losing..I lose 2 pounds than gain them back. Some say because muscle is holding water, etc. Idk...Mcdougall says to load up on starches, idk if I'm doing it all wrong.

Active is pretty active, a fulltime waitress on her feet all day is only lighty active. If you are not currently losing weight, then that means there is not a deficient. Either your calories are too high, or your intake is off, weighing all your food can correct this. The average person over estimates eyeballing by 30%. MFP also over estimates exercise burn. Weight loss = calorie deficient, burning more than you consume. 3500 calorie deficient = roughly 1lb of weight loss.

*Also, love the falls. My family used to live there and still have family there.

What I do and what I recommend to people is to eat at a calorie level that allows you to drop 1-2 lbs/week. This assumes an average calorie burn from you getting in all of your workouts. This will be different for everyone, so you'll have to do some trial and error to figure it out. I'd start ~1600 cal/day. Hit this goal, along with your macros and getting in your workouts, for a week. If you lose 1-2 lbs, you're good to go. If you lose too much, increase your intake and repeat. If you don't lose enough, reduce your intake a bit and repeat. After a few weeks, you'll figure out what works for you in your situation.

If you have any questions, please let me know.
