I'm trying to find the correct amount of calories to be eating and i'm a bit confused. To maintain my weight MFP says I should eat 1760. However, IIFYM says to eat 1928. I'm currently counting macros, but I'm confused as to why the numbers are different for maintenance.

IIFYM asks you to enter how many workouts you do whereas on MFP you add them as you go - it doesn't give you the cals automatically, even if you put that you're going to exercise x times a week - you have to log the cardio to get them.

Could that be it. It's always worked out pretty similair for me (I use it to get a rough idea of macros, then pop the percentages in here).

Or maybe you still have MFP set to a deficit rather than maintain?

Btw both figures will be estimates - you could be really average or you could have a higher/lower metabolism. You'll probably need to jiggle with things for a few weeks before you find the right amount for you.
