Just normal daily fluctuations. Most people are actually lighter in the morning due to no food for 8 hours and no fluids so it's not common but not unheard off. Your weight can change on average 4 to 5 pounds during the day which is why it's important to weigh yourself at the same time in the same place in the same clothes to get a reasonably consistent figure to work from. No matter what you will get variations so just keep an eye on the trend over time if the overall trend is downwards what you are doing is working.0

^^ This.
Try not to focus too much on the number on the scale as it will fluctuate. Take measurements & measure yourself every 2 weeks or so. Lost inches are the true measure of success in my opinion0 -
I find that my weight fluctuates in really bizarre ways. Sometimes I weigh in the morning and by 6pm I've lost 1-2lbs (even after dinner!), other days I weigh 4lbs heavier in the evening compared to the morning. Sometimes I can lose 1lb half an hour after getting up!
Everyone's body weight fluctuates to varying degrees, depending on various factors like time of the month (if you have lady parts), illness, day of the week, water intake etc.
For some, weighing everyday at the same time and then working out your moving average weight loss works, for others it's once a week at the same time of day. I find that because my weight fluctuates so much sometimes I try and take a broader view whilst taking note of weekly weigh-ins but measuring my loss/gain over three or four weeks. It feels like it takes longer for loss to show but I feel more secure in knowing that it's overall more accurate.0
