Sodium obsessed

Hello! I have lost a bunch of weight using myfitnesspal and my fitbit which has been great. One of the reasons I started losing weight was because of high blood pressure. I managed to get my levels back in the normal range without pills by losing weight and eating a lower salt diet.
However, now I feel like I am still sodium obsessed. After eating a lot of salt one day I will gain two pounds of water weight that will take two days to lose (yes I do get on the scale every day). I still have about 14 pounds left to lose and I am paying too much attention to the sodium levels in my food and what that does to the scale number. I know that it is not a race to get the last bit off and I am losing inches and toning, but I'm having a hard time not obessing when my sodium levels are too high for day or so especially over the weekend. Does anyone have any suggestions? Yes I know I shouldn't weigh myself so much if this is getting to me and no I don't drink enough water, that has always been a hard thing for me.
I'm getting towards the end of my losing weight phase and I need to pay more attention to my body, how it's looking, strength train, and less at the numbers, but that is easier said then done.

Not only can sodium increase water retention, but so can increasing carbohydrates and exercise too. Which is why the scale is an inaccurate body fat measuring device. It's impossible to lose more than a few ounces of actual body fat a day. Weighing daily is fine if you don't take the results too seriously. If you can't do that, donate your scale to someone that truly needs it.0

1. Log your food in advance for the day so you can keep tabs on the sodium count if you are concerned about sticking within a certain range.
or
2. Consider not stepping on the scale *every* single day, and maybe try to weigh several times a week instead.
Think of it this way, you are going to be eating sodium for the rest of your life, even after you have reached your goal weight, so you don't need to be obsessed with it forever!0
