I work full time and have 5 kids. The only time I'm guarnteed to be able to workout is at 4am prior to getting everyone up and ready for school and work. So I've researched for hours and hours ont he topic of fasted cardio. Some are with it some state it should only be moderate excercise. Others say it breaks down your lean muscle. I do drink a whey protein drink right after. I have quite abit of weight to lose and just want to do it right while building muscle. Anyone had good results with fasted cardio?

As another working mom with young kids, I sometimes run or do Insanity first thing in the morning (with only coffee/skim milk in my stomach). I actually feel really good when I do fasted cardio, but most of my morning workouts are only in the 25-50 min range.0

Me too! I feel great after! I limit it to about 45 minutes. I drink coffee with creamer on the way to the gym. I guess as long as I feel good I'm not going to worry about it. I try to get back in the evening for 30 minutes of weightsAs another working mom with young kids, I sometimes run or do Insanity first thing in the morning (with only coffee/skim milk in my stomach). I think you may burn more actual fat when doing cardio in a fasted/keto state. I try to do this but it's really hard to keep up the intensity for me when my blood sugar level is too low.0
