Do you eat because you have enough calories available, or do you eat because you're hungry?

Usually hungry, but never because I have calories left.

There are times you really should eat because, well, you need calories to live and you may not be hungry. Iwasnt particularly hungry at breakfast this AM but I ate because In eed the energy to be sustained through the day until dinner.

AT the end of any given day I wont eat just because I have calories left.

I do it that way to help with weight loss, but also if the next day comes around and I am at my limit but still hungry I dont have to feel guilty about having a snack and going over.

I eat because I'm hungry. Or because I'm dragging/low energy and I need to do something active like work out or go for a bike ride with my daughter. Also, at night I eat my popcorn because I've saved the calories for it and I love it and it's a bit of an 8 PM ritual for me.

I'm a few hundred calories under goal and I'm not hungry and it's night time I won't eat just to get to my calories (although I probably should). I figure I can eat them the next day instead.

I try to eat only out of hunger.
The calories only come into play for indulgences.

I have a very hard time knowing when I'm hungry and also how hungry I am. But I don't eat just to fulfill a calorie goal. I did when I first started counting calories, and it seemed to make keeping within my calories on following days harder instead of easier.

    Only when I'm really hungry.

I do deliberately set my calories a little higher than I know I usually eat just to make sure I'm not subconsciously under eating trying to stay in the "green". I eat a low carb diet so it isn't unusual for me to be in ketosis and when I am it's really easy to eat a very low calorie diet so I don't want to compound that by sticking to a lower calorie goal on the days I am hungrier. So no, if I ate to my calorie goal every day it would be too much.

I eat if I'm both hungry AND have calories left, and it's been 3 hours since I last had something to eat.

Sometimes I eat in the evening too even if I'm not hungry, if I have a lot of calories left, and there's something tempting :)

I eat because eating, within bounds of temperance, is one of life's great pleasures.

This. I rarely leave calories if I can fit even a piece of chocolate in.

Day to day, on a cut, I eat because I'm hungry. At the end of the week, if I have calories left over, I eat/drink them for pleasure. In fact, I usually save several hundred calories for the weekend for just this purpose.

When I'm bulking, I eat to hit the number.
