TDEE-20% successes?

Hey, all! Well, I lost 7 pounds before MFP just eating around 1800 calories a day and doing cardio for an hour each day. I have since begun using the MFP method and the weight has crept back on which lead to me throwing my hands up and binging. I'm thinking of just eating my TDEE-20%, which would be 1772 calories. Plus now, I've added in some weight training and still doing cardio. Has anyone here had success with this method? That seems like an awful lot of calories, but, I've heard the whole "eat more to lose more" too. Thanks.

If you've figured your TDEE correctly, and are logging your food and measuring your exercise burns accurately, they end up at the same place. I use TDEE - 20 because I don't exercise every day, but would rather spread the exercise calories out over the entire week.0

I switched to TDEE-20% after 4 months because I was tired of having to use the HRM every time I went for a walk. It's worked really well for me.0
