Coming off Blood Pressure Medicine

Can anyone share their experience with losing weight and coming off meds? I started my weight loss on my own. I am on meds for my BP. I have lost 42 lbs from my highest weight and where I was when I started meds. I noticed my BP was coming down so I started cutting my pulls in half and mentioned it to my physician at the next appointment. He said that was fine. It's been 3 months and I've lost a little more weight and my BP is low-normal now on half my meds. I'll be emailing my Dr and telling him to see what he thinks and how to properly come off completely but I wondered about other people's experience.
