Hey Guys quick background, I'm 5ft7 186lbs 31yo female that does not exercise thus not only am I overweight, I'm overweight with not a nice looking bod....
Sooo next week (I know it should be this week but I get paid next week  ) I have set up my appointment to join the gym and will be doing the stronglifts program and a couple of days of cardio in between (Nothing to crazy on the cardio until I've built fitness up maybe 30 mins twice a week)
Now my question is this: Having looked into IIFYM I filled in my details into the calculator and for the amount I want to exercise and lose weight I'm looking at 1900 cals a day (Which I am totally fine with  ) BUT how do you other guys fit in icecream ect while still hitting your Macros? I need around 37g of fibre which is crazy hard and if I add icecream I lose out on some carbs for my dinner meal and my fibre goes crazy down.....
Advice would be greatly appreciated

Use your macros as a guide. Don't have them set in stone. I use the pie chart on the app and go by percentage. I also look at the weeks macros not just a day. Personally being overly strict to the last gram is a bit over the top and really not needed find what works for you

I'm new to strength training and only recently have I started paying attention to my macros, but having been in weight loss mode of the better part of almost a year and a half I have accumulated some tricks.

The best way to go about it when you want to fit in treats is to plan. Open your food diary and plan out a day that hits the macros you are interested in, keeping it mostly lean. For example, say your main focus is protein. You add things to the diary that are high in protein and slightly lower in calories than other choices like chicken breast, egg whites... etc.

Once you have it at the number you want, add in all the ice cream/candy/chips/other food you want until you hit the calorie goal. At that point you can edit out and replace things to your liking if for example your comfort foods happened to be high in protein.

As for fiber, I like to add bran wherever I can. Any bran would do. High in fiber and super low in calories.
