why don't you just not log it and count it as a 'cheat' night? btw, stick to clear spirits and diet soda options. much less calorific.

yeh i did think i could 'cheat night' it.. but ive been doing so well. maybe i should just think carefully about my meals. land my food cals at about 1100, and then im thinking 4/5 glasses of wine at 100 cals each ill end up at 1500/1600 ..? would that be ok? X

I log it first. I find it easier to keep track how much I am drinking that way, and then the next morning I adjust it accordingly. It is also more relaxing, because you're not mentally counting calories each time you order a drink, instead you just track the number of drinks.

I always prelog my food so yes I do for my drinks too...

I prefer vodka with club soda so it's only 40 cal a shot...:drinker:

Or I have a premixed drink that is 100 cal per.

When I am out for fun my goal is to stay within limits...lower limit my deficit upper goal maintenance.

I don't agree with "cheat days".

I will have planned days where I go over; I just make sure I have another day where I've gone under to balance it out.

If you have a rough goal in mind, on how much you can have and still meet your goal, you can pre-log. If you have enough wiggle room in your net calories (like, if you ran 10 miles that day or something), you could cut loose a little.

I generally decide I'm going to have 2 drinks or 3 or whatever, and then plan my food around that. I have to make sure I have enough food calories to balance out the booze or things will be ugly the next day.

Cheat day means that you are only fooling yourself. Just log the drinks the best you can and move on. Its the only way to get meaningful data on how what you consume effects your weight gain or loss.
