Hi all. Posted in the introduce yourself forum already. Im sure this has already been discussed..did see some chatter but Im planning on doing shakeology very soon...as soon as it gets here actually. Im one of those not hungry most days only eats once a day people and it has made me gain weight of course. Ive tasted it before and dont mind the taste. I was in an accident and have something called drop foot. Had to move in with my brother who is never home and only has frozen junk in freezer. Pretty much totally sedentary most of the time. Any success with same product or the like and/ or advice please? Know Im a newbie....I'll take my woopins now please. Lol *waves hello*

I don't really think you should depend on this kind of thing to be your entire diet. You really should try and just eating real food and counting calories, ask your brother to pick up chicken breast or other meats and just freeze what your not gonna eat right away. Get veggies, fruits, etc. Sounds like to me you need to just have a chat with your brother.
Shakeology seems like a nice product but for the price you could get just crap-tons of real meats, fruits and veggies. Even if you decide to eat only once a day, I 'm sure you will enjoy real food more than a drink.
edit: I would also see a physical therapist about your drop foot. There are rehab type things you can do to help it. You could also ask them what exercises you can do with it.0 -
Thanks so much for the reply! Chatting with the bro is useless trust me. Lol. I was going to use it to count calories and try to eat at least dinner. It is pricy but at least Ive tried it and can stand the taste. Sucks bad I cant exercise....was very active. Just thankfull I can walk with a brace though not complaining too much. Anyone think this migh work?0

There are quite a few exercises you can do that do not require your leg/foot. Sit and Be Fit are chair exercises done while seated. Hand weights, stretch bands, table pedaler (you pedal with your arms) etc. Leg lifts with your good leg while seated, there's many options.
I agree with the other poster, eating healthy foods is a whole lot better than drinking shakes but give it a try since you already ordered it. If it doesn't work, then change your plan and try something else.0 -

^ this.
1 - I have coaching clients with all manner of ailments and we find ways to keep them active and progressing toward their goals. A knowledgeable PT would be able to help.
2 - Shakeology is EXPENSIVE. You'd probably save money and be better off eating fresh foods that you enjoy.0 -
I personally wouldn't pay that kind of money but sounds like you've already ordered it. It is marked up protein powder. You can buy a big tub of powder much more economically priced. I'm not against shakes and to make myself a protein/fruit/veggie/almond milk shake most days but I find if I try to drink them too often I get really sick of them no matter how good they taste. I like to eat my food too !!!0
