I have lost weight since I joined MFP. Before then, I had lost 14 lbs by myself.
Now my thing is this: when I joined, my BMR was 1510 and MFP had me set at 1610 to lose a lb and a half a week.
I redid my settings and my BMR (as I've seen people suggest do after 5-10 lb loss) yesterday. It has me set at 1580 net and my BMR is 1556. That seems a little off to me, but for those of you who have been here a while, what do you think? TDEE is 2956.
Help me understand the system and if you think the MFP numbers are right.

1.5 lbs a week loss equals a 750 calorie deficient daily. Having a TDEE of 2956 is high for even a very active larger female. MFP seems to put your daily burn without exercise at 1580+750= 2330. To keep losing at the same rate you were before your calorie intake will drop because it takes less power to run a smaller body.0 -
I burn 4000-5000 calories at work alone each week depending on what type of paper we are running each day. Not sure how to calculate that in with 6-7 days a week exercising (burning 100-400 calories to get to the right net calories).0

If you are losing currently, just let it be. The reason you recalculate is because smaller bodies use less calories, so to keep a 750 calorie deficient your daily calorie goal lowers but the closer you get to goal weight loss slows down and a smaller deficient is recommended. If you prefer you can keep your original calorie goal. The difference between goals is only 30 calories so in 116.6 days there would be a pound you did not lose. The amount is really small and irrelevant.0
