Scared to believe in my progress

I have weighed myself four times in the last week and each time I have been in the ball park of 157..... The last time I weighed this I was in 7th grade ( I've always been heavy). I haven't recorded this in my fitness pal because I am so scared that I will believe it and next week or two weeks from now it'll say something else and I'll be crushed.
It's so silly. I've done the work...I've watched my food but still I am so afraid I'll fall off I don't want to be excited about progress.

Be proud of progress for that's what helps to keep us motivated and excited about our fitness journey! You may have some bad days here and there but don't let that get you down. You're doing great so don't feel guilty about patting yourself on the back for your weight loss. Congrats to you!0

Congratulations!!! You should log your current weight.0

Yeah ... I'm trying to let go of the fear so I figure if it stays there the next 2 times I weigh I'll log it....0

Log it!! You deserve to see that accomplishment every day!... As far as your fear? You have more than proven to yourself you can do what it takes to get where you want... Just keep up the great work and your fears will fade away... Congrats on doing a fantastic job!!0

Log it! You've earned it Just don't get down if one week it says a few above and another a few below....you do fluctuate naturally. Only get worried if it stays up and keeps going up for several weeks in a row, that's my philosophy. I tend to drop 3-6 pounds in a couple weeks, then spend 3 weeks not losing anything and fluctuating between my new 'low' weight and a few pounds above it....then boom, 3-6 again in a few weeks. Old me would have freaked out that I was 179 and then 181 a few days later. New me realizes it's just natural fluctuations and if I'm doing everything right, I'll show a loss soon.
I say that as an example so you don't freak out when it fluctuates up a bit! You've hit a new low weight, celebrate it, log it, love it! Kudos and well done0 -
Thanks guys.... I really appreciate your words....0

Believe it... and be proud, and excited. You've worked hard and you weigh what you did in seventh grade. At the same though, don't get so attached to the numbers. In a week, or two, you may well see a higher number on the scale. Don't be crushed though. That doesn't mean you've failed or fallen off... just remember that weight fluctuates. All the time. It's normal. Pay attention to the overall trend - which is obviously going down for you right now, so yay! Job well done. :flowerforyou:0
