iPhone Step Counter and Runtastic?

My iPhone 5s is set to record steps. But I plan to go for a run using the Runtastic app. Will it double up the run exercise calories and the steps? If so How do I fix it?

    I would also like to know this as well. I like having it turned on b/c I walk to/from work which is about a mile, but I don't want to add my run in if I double it.
