Polar HRM FT4 - Men's vs Women's - PINK!PURPLE!

Hi all

In need of some advice - have just ordered the Polar HRM FT4 and chose the men's model instead of the women's in case my OH wanted to borrow it and didn't fancy wearing a pink watch.

However, now worried that the chest strap on the men's may be too big. Does anyone know if there is a difference in sizes?

Thanks

PS - Is it really necessary for the women's watches to be pink? I mean really....

The Pink Issue is a problem.
On the one hand, the separation of toys in to "boys or girls" toys harms our children and limits their options, in my opinion. On the other hand, although a new phenomenon, the colour pink is now associated with girls. Showing distaste for pink can send out the message that it's not ok for girls to be who they are and that being feminine is distasteful.

Completely agree, I actually love pink, but seems strange to only (as far as I can see) offer the women's watch in pink!

Reminds me of the comedy reviews of the 'BIC For Her Medium Ballpoint Pen' reviews!

I've just realised that I'm still wearing my Polar FT4M - is that the same thing? Anyway, my watch is grey, the chest strap is black and it fits fine.

There are at least 2 different sizes of chest strap, but they are both adjustable. The one I have is M-XXL, the other is the smaller so you both might be able to use the same strap; if not you can get a spare different sized one from the shops or ebay.
