Gyms in Maryland

I'm moving from Las Vegas to Howard /Anne Arundel County, MD on June 1st and I'm curious about the gyms out there.
I've looked at some online but I was hoping that others have first hand experience with the gyms in that area.
Any suggestions?

HEY! I live in Anne Arundel County!!! I can finally help somebody!!!!
There are sooo many gyms here, it would be helpful if you narrowed down where you were going to live or work first. Have you considered where you are going to live? are you looking to rent apartment, house, etc....
I live in Annapolis, so I belong to Gold's Gym.
I would love to belong to the YMCA, but there is not a facility near me.

Tell me what you are looking at and I will get you info, I know people all over the state!!

Yay!
My man will most likely be working at Ft. Meade or in the DC area but I'm not quite sure where I'll be working yet because I need to interview with a few school districts.
I'm looking for something with a lot of group exercise classes as that's my favorite way to work out. I know Equinox has amazing classes but there's no way I'm driving to Tysons Corner to exercise, that's crazy talk.
I really like group fitness classes, they're the best0 -
I would love to recommend AA co. schools but have you been reading about our budget problems? Unfortunately we are losing teachers
I have a very good friend who has taught in this county and Prince Georges Co. if you have any specific questions about the school system let me know and I will ask her. Howard co schools are definitely the best in the area, I know that Elkridge is a nice area that is relatively inexpensive to live and close to Ft. Meade, Howard Co., DC and shopping!
I really feel that you need to figure out where you will be working because it doesn't make sense to join a gym that is in the opposite direction than where you will be traveling, right?!

Thanks for recommending Howard County and A.A co. schools. I applied there a few weeks ago and planning on calling tomorrow to follow up on my application. I haven't heard anything about A.A's budget problems but thanks for letting me know.
You're right, I need figure out where I'm going to move and too bad I can't figure it out until I get to Maryland or right before my move date. I'm so excited about moving but a little scared at the same time. I've been to MD about 10 times but never longer than three months; I've never driven there as well.
What I'm most concerned about is public transportation. I'm afraid I'll have issues getting from my home to a metro line. Aside from that, I'm ready to leave Las Vegas.
