So, today was my weekly weigh-in, and this is the first time since I started using MFP that I haven't lost 2 lbs or more, so it's just pretty annoying.
I'm not totally surprised, for a couple of reasons. First of all, I had to estimate a bunch of meals this week, both made by other people and from restaurants (specifically an amazing salad that probably had more croutons, Gorgonzola and dressing than I estimated and falafel pita from a baseball stadium) so I wouldn't be surprised if my overall calorie count for the week was off by 400-1000 calories. Plus, the week before I dropped about six pounds between weigh-ins, which is pretty extreme, so some of that weight loss might have been illusory. Still, losing less than half a pound in a week when I thought I was running at least a two pound/week daily deficit is kind of rough.
Anyhoo, I'm not that terribly demoralized, but I just wanted to post here because people in my real life are annoyed by my whining about this kind of thing.![:D :D](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/lol.png)
Feel free to share thoughts that you have about weight loss that might annoy people in real life, too! I'd love for us all to vent our neuroses about our weight loss experience.![:) :)](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/smile.png)
EDIT: because typos that make me seem like I have an eating disorder are bad. Also: apparently I can't say b*tch on here? Lame.

A two-pound per day deficit is extreme and an unhealthy amount to lose. Even if you were losing weight at a healthy rate of 2 lbs per week, weight loss is not linear and some weeks you lose more than others. I just hope for your sake you haven't screwed up your metabolism or dropped significant lean body mass with your extreme dieting.0 -
Sorry, total mistype, I meant my daily calorie intake is set for a two pound per week weight loss.
A bit too early in the morning to be typing, I guess.0 -
Hi
That is totally gutting!!
I managed to lose 9lbs in my first week (prior to signing on here) due to two meals a day (not intentional just off work so getting up later) and 4 boot camp sessions in that week!! Up till yesterday 3 weeks later I lost nothing.
It's really demoralising!
