Check out the article: http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/05/09/the-scientific-7-minute-workout/?_php=true&_type=blogs&_r=0
The "scientific" full-body 7-minute workout.
The Moves:
Jumping Jacks
Wall Sit
Push Ups
Crunches
Step-Ups
Squats
Tricep Dips
Plank
High Knees
Lunges
Push Up + Rotation
Side Plank
"The exercises should be performed in rapid succession, allowing 30 seconds for each, while, throughout, the intensity hovers at about an 8 on a discomfort scale of 1 to 10, Mr. Jordan says. Those seven minutes should be, in a word, unpleasant. The upside is, after seven minutes, you’re done."
Anyone up to the challenge?
I did it yesterday (while my husband timed me). I didn't rest for 10 seconds in-between each move like the article says you can, and I gave it my full effort, but my "discomfort" level was more like a 4 than an 8. I'm no cardio bunny, but I found this way easier than they make it out to be. I broke a little bit of a sweat and got a tiny bit out of breath, but I certainly didn't feel like I'd just worked out afterward. I'm hesitant to call anything done in 7 minutes a "workout." Better than nothing, yes, but not by much.
So, go do it and tell me what you think!
