Do i get calorie credits??

Every other day, my app yells at me that I am undereating... in in starvation mode... bla bla bla. So yesterday, due to some sangria, i went over. Am I right to justify it in my head, because I always under eat? Does it all average out through the week?

It's fine to take a weekly approach to your net calories. That's what I do.

However, consistently eating under your calorie goal isn't going to be healthy or sustainable, long-term. I haven't seen your diary and I wouldn't presume to know anything about your history, habits, or goals, so I'll just gently suggest re-evaluating your approach and leave it there. Good luck to you!:flowerforyou:

Some people track per day and others per week. I focus more per week because it gives me more flexibility.

I look at the week more also. I don't worry if I go over 100 calories or so because I will or already have a day where I was under by that amount.
  • I hate the "starvation mode" saying. It takes a long time to get into starvation mode. LOL

Depends what you mean by "undereat." Many people here on MFP advise that we are probably measuring our food wrong (I agree), so I tend to leave a buffer every day of somewhere between 100-300 calories. (Like, if I ate out that day, I'm leaving a bigger buffer, because I KNOW I didn't enter in the food correctly, even if I did my best.)

If you're talking 500+ each and every day, or not entering in your exercise calories, or something...yeah, you probably might need to re-evaluate.
