I just wanted to come in and say hello...I lost 25 lbs in 2007 and ever so slowly it has crept back up on me...I need to get back to the things I know and just get this done...The big one for me is exercise! I can't remember the last time I worked out :-(.
So today is the day I get my butt back on the treadmill and break a sweat!
Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you all
Off to get a big glass of water!

Welcome. I have been on MFP for 3 months, starting my 4th. It's the best decision I have made in many years. I have lost weight with diets many times before, but it was never a lifestyle change. This time is different; it's a lifestyle change, not a diet. Good luck on your weight loss journey. Please feel free to add me as a friend; we can help motivate each other.0

12 oz water every 2 hrs is plenty![except when exercising]......This is the beginning of a new day & start to a healthy lifestyle!.....NOT A DIET!...... you can lose weight without exercise...But... body needed it for overall well being! Formula...."calories in vs. calories out"
Mind set is important...if you believe you can achieve!.....90% mental---10% doing it!
Anything worth having is worth working at it!......1st step is DO YOU WANT A "HEALTHY LIFESTYLE"??...YOU CHOOSE! Pay for it now or pay for it later.....you choose!.........Life is all about making correst choices! Your body will love you for it...good luck!!0 -
you will not reget this choice0

I agree, the key is a lifestyle change, not a diet. The only way to lose weight and keep it off is to be disciplined and stay disciplined....BUT, allow yourself to have "treats" from time to time, but be reasonable with your allowance...don't go over-board and eat a WHOLE pizza or eat ice cream every day for an entire week! Healthy choices and exercise are going to be the only way to lose it and keep it off.
I was once told to only shop the OUTER perimeter isles of the grocery store. I have tried it and it works wonderfully! It does take some planning, time and preparation but is SO MUCH better for you!
Good luck and have faith in yourself! YOU CAN DO THIS!0 -
Welcome! We're glad you're here and we're all in this together
