I've recently started trying to make my little indulgences last a little longer.

My record so far for one lindt truffle ball: 6m20s

Do you try to make little indulgences last longer? If so what? And what's your record?

So a Snickers bar--best time from door to my pie hole...14.2 seconds.

Doritos....one bag a year ago no chance; now...4 days.

Salted Caramel Gelato--TBD but I do not give it much of a chance; first 4 ounces will probably go quickly; quickly meaning faster then a Geico ad.

I've never timed them. My ice cream lasts a lot longer because I weigh it now, instead of going by the "whatever fits in the bowl" method. Sometimes I put the tub on the scale, zero it out, scoop out one big spoonful and log it. Then I eat it really slowly off the spoon. Sometimes that's enough.

I definitely do that with ice cream, I've also started using a smaller spoon.

Have been known to put milky bars in fridge then thinly slice on a plate. Eating each thin sliver at a time.

I hadn't really noticed that I was doing it, until my husband pointed out the other night that he had eastern three lindors in the time that it took me to eat one. So this evening he timed me.

I like to "indulge" alone, usually after the kids are in bed.

a little wine gets me in the mood, and then I think my record is like maybe 65 minutes? I had electronic assistance, I don't know if that counts.

If eating crisps, I now split the bag open and eat each one slowly as I can to make it last.

Must say chocolates taste so much nicer now as are such a treat.

I think that everything you eat should be enjoyable, and that eating slowly is one thing that a lot of us could work on! I savor my breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks because it's all delish!

I like hot chocolate with almond milk...it's hot so you automatically slow down!

thanks for bringing us back to ground softly, you are so right

eating slowly is part of a healthier relationship with food, and when consumed together for family
