Faith to lose

I'm new to all of this and really don't know if I'm doing this right, but suppose I will learn and see soon enough. My current goal is to lose a 1.5 lbs in a week. I' very never lost more than 10 lbs and I always gave up. I hope to be at least 50 lbs lighter by this time next year. if I can just get past the 10 lb mark, then I know I can get to the 50 lb goal. I desire to be around when all my grandchildren graduate from college, get married, etc.
