Injuries & Diet Maintenance

Hi All,
Interested in your thoughts and experiences.
I have recently injured my knee and will probabaly need to take 2 weeks off from all training.
My dilemma is this: I currently consume on average 2200 cals per day, burning appx 1000 through excercise making my net consumption 1200 cals.
If I maintain current consumption with no training I will gain a reasonable amount of weight. I will struggle to keep to 1200cals a day.
The way I see it I have three options:
1) Take a couple of weeks off - go backwards.
2) Keep to 1200 cals - be grumpy
3) Up cal intake to 16/1800
Has anyone had similar? How did you approach it?
Gratefull,
David

1. Relax and take it easy. You will lose any weight you may possible gain but put your health first.
2. Eat at your maintenance calories level.
3. Eat at your calorie deficiency without exercise.
I know you stated you have to take 2 weeks from all exercises but are you restricted from doing core and upper body strength training and lifting?0 -
if you're losing on net 1200, then you should be able to eat more and maintain your weight.0

just out of interest, wy are you only netting 1200 cals, thats pretty low when you only have a couple of pounds to lose (according to your ticker) and you're a guy?0
