Is it normal to never get sore anymore?

I haven't been all that sore form a workout since starting 5x5. I used to do FitnessBlender workouts with light or no weights before I began lifting heavy, and some days it hurt to walk. I know muscle soreness is not necessarily an indicator of a good workout, but NEVER being sore? That just doesn't seem right...I'm up to 100 lb on squats (I weigh 135). You'd think I'd have some soreness.

I only ever get DOMS when I do an exercise for the first time or work a muscle in a new way. I'll get some tightness that a bit of stretching/foam rolling helps to workout but I never get DOMS these days. Getting sore isn't really a good indicator of whether you had a good workout; it usually just means the muscle(s) you worked out aren't accustomed to performing that work.0

I'm in the same boat and interested to see what people have to say. When I was doing different workouts like 30 Day Shred I would get very sore. When I first started 5x5 I got sore for the first few workouts but it's been almost 2 months since I've been sore.0

I've read that it's normal to not experience soreness after doing the same exercise for a while, even if you are increasing the weights over time. It doesn't mean you're getting less of a workout.0

You probably wont get sore doing the same exercises and such. Real soreness occurs when you work certain muscles you dont usually or go after it really hard.
I would only get sore running after a competitive 5K. I wouldnt be sore after training runs and such, but the races always get your adrenaline going and ya push it harder than you normallly do.0 -
Well, shoot... I still get sore after every workout. My trainer works me pretty hard so I guess that's why.0

When I did 5x5, I don't think I was ever sore, either. I think that's why I got bored of it and switched to 5/3/1. I do a lot of assistance work now, so I'm pretty much always sore. I'm not sure which is better though to be honest. Maybe with 5x5 you increase your weights slowly enough that your body adapts ,and so you don't feel it as much. I'm not sure my answer was helpful, but I know I had the same experience.0
