Store for running shoes in Ocean County, NJ...

I need to replace my running shoes soon and I want a really good pair that are recommended and fitted by a running store. Are there any in Ocean County, NJ? I guess I can venture out to Cape May/Atlantic/Burlington/Monmouth counties.

I have an issue with my right foot...if I tie the shoe for running like I would for any type of normal wear, within a 1/2 mile, my toes start going numb. It is something with the arch & cutting off nerve or blood supply, and it's an annoyance and distracting while I'm running. I want to go to a running store and talk with an expert, be fitted, have a professional recommendation, etc.

Do your toes in your right foot go numb if you walk?

Terrapin - No, toes do not go numb while walking. I can walk and walk, have no problems. If I tie the right show exactly the same way, but then run, they go numb. Just the outer 3 toes, so (knowing anatomy), it seems like a nerve thing.

I have to tie my right shoe insanely loose to avoid the numbness.

JoRocka - Thanks! I had seen the Princeton Running Co., I think I'll take a ride out that way. I'm at the Jersey Shore.

you might try the newark area that might be closer to you.

I just googled running stores- and then I knew specifically of the New Balance and Eastern mountain sports so I could search for thsoe specifically.
