Running, faster metabolism and hunger...

Since I have been running I've noticed that my metabolism is off the charts ramped up again. I'm not complaining at all... but I also notice that since I've been running I get hungry like every two hours! Not a problem since I tend to snack throughout the day about every two to three hours or so anyway, but my hunger level has definitely increased and yet I am still losing about a half pound per week. Not to mention the inches and ounces I am losing just by running every day!
