Last year at my physical I had high cholesterol, borderline LDL, triglycerides of 299, blood sugar was borderline high. Some other results were also on the high side. I was out of shape and overweight.
In mid January (120 days ago) I started Insanity, eating much healthier, then went to the gym, took on Asylum (had to quit 1/2 way through due to ankle issue) and am now into T25 Beta and Gamma hybrid.
My Labs came back today:
Cholesterol down to 133 (under 200 is good)
LDL is 74 (under 133 is good)
Triglicerides (my doctor's major concern) is now 97 (under 150 is good).
Glucose: 80 (range of 74-100 is normal)
All my other labs came back within normal limits as well, every single one.
One of my biggest goals for working out was to get healthy. Not just meaning weight loss, but to avoid high blood sugar (diabetes is rampant in my family) and lower all my bad indicators.
Mission accomplished!
Now onto the scale victory part, lol:
I'm 38 lbs down from my last physical. 29.2 lbs down since mid January when I started working out. I'm still working on meeting my goals here, but I'm well on my way there.
