Late night cravings!

I get the worse late night cravings. It's not for anything specific. I just feel like I need to eat something every night. I eat well through out the day, but no matter what I find something to munch on.

    My DH is the same. He goes out for a walk. Failing that, he measures out a portion of nuts and then picks up a book.

    Mind you, unless there's a health reason for you not to, why not just build it into your meals that you have one of them later?

    I think my biggest problem is just having trigger foods around.

    I tell myself no eating after 7. Sometimes I don't make it. I eat protein bar, tuna or yogurt. If you are hungry anything taste good. If it is something fattening I assure myself I can have it tomorrow. I try to munch on celery also. Yes, get rid of trigger foods, it is too much trouble going out to get them.

    I have the same problem. If it's the extra calories you are worried about, try to work it into your day, that's what i do. And if I can't, I try to make the cravings go away with gum. If none of that works, I eat it, and burn enough calories the next day to compensate. I don't know if this will turn out to be a healthy practice in the long run, when I stop counting calories, but it works for now.
