Seeing results after a cheat day!

Has this happened to anyone else? I was really bloated for a couple weeks (mainly because of TOM and dehydration) And when I am bloated, I stay away from my cheat meal of the week because it just makes me feel even worse. But it was 2 weeks and I had awful cravings so yesterday I gave in and then today my stomach was the flattest it's been in weeks and my abs are showing again. Why does this happen? Did my body just need a bump in calories?
