I messed up

I suffered a major ankle injury last month and can not resume my normal gym routine which consisted of running. I hired a personal trainer to show me alternate, if not more effective, workout routines. I also tweaked my diet so I eat less sugar. The workouts are intense. More HITT which I am not used to. Anyways, after a workout, I am famished. I usually snack on turkey jerky and watermelon. I try to consume under 1350 calories.
Today, I was super hungry and went to subway and got an egg and cheese sandwich thinking there would not be a lot of calories. I had that instead of my turkey jerky and watermelon. Anyways, I just did my calorie count and went over 400 calories. It may not sound like a lot but this becomes a slippery slope for me.
