NSV - inches lost!

I started strength training about two months ago, and moved up to heavy lifting about 2.5 weeks ago. After realizing during the past week that I was having to use the shorter hooks on my favorite bras, I decided today that it was time to take some new measurements even though I've only dropped a few pounds. My losses from my lower body were all half an inch or less (still a loss is a loss), but whoa - I lost a full 1.5 inches from my under-bust measurement! In fact, the only measurement that went up was for my upper arms. I'll happily trade in an inch and a half of back-fat for stronger arms! :D

    Could you share what routine or program you're following?

    I've been following the workouts at NerdFitness.com's Academy fitness program, but the workouts are pretty similar to those described for other heavy lifting programs. It has a small one-time fee that I'm willing to pay because I like the formatting, ease of use, and some of the other benefits, but I know that stronglifts 5x5 is a free program that is very similar. Within the past 3 weeks, I've also switched to a lower carb, higher protein diet, cutting out ~75% of grains, but I suspect it's far to early to be seeing any benefits from that.
