Heart rate question

I use a HRM during workouts and I've noticed that my HR elevates quickly during a workout, and then returns to normal relatively quickly, as well. I'm in the best shape I've ever been (not that that's saying much), my resting pulse and BP are very good, I'm not overweight, and I'm not worried, exactly, but I wondered if it means anything.
