What is keeping YOU from reaching your goal?

Is there something in particular that has stalled, or decreased the rate at which you lose weight? Snacking, lack of ambition, being lazy, overeating? What is it, and how are you going to fix it? You can wake up tomorrow and start a new day! Don't feel like it's too late because it is NEVER too late! Now share those feelings everyone! What are YOU going to work on? What are your confessions? You know you're doing something wrong. What is is, and how will you fix it?

I have had INSANE chip cravings and have been over eating on carbs the past week. I'm not sure how to deal with it right now so I'm just going to keep working out twice a day!0

I am "neverfull". The more I eat, the more hungry I feel...:(0

I normally just found other stuff to do besides exercising, like Netflix. But I've recently canceled my subscription and joined a gym instead!0

I quit living and breathing the mission. I quit doing research on new ideas for exercise to keep boredom at bay. I stopped planning meals and snacks. I am not thinking about it 24/7 like I was for the last 4 months. I am starting to slip.....and I don't want to fall.0

I got slack on measuring...but I'm back on track. Maintaining is better than gaining!0

The only thing standing between me and my goals is time. Once diet and workouts are in check, there's nothing more to do them put in the time.0

I watch Netflix on my phone while I do my cardio. No reason not to have both!0 -
Hashimoto's. It's making me lose hope and motivation.0

Impulsive eating. Sometimes my husband will come home from work and want to go out for dinner. I go too, instead of sticking to what I had planned out to fit my macros. When I get home and log the food, I'll have went over my cals, carbs, etc. It happens more often than I would like.
Recently I was in an exercise funk, not wanting to get up and do it. But I have since gotten out of it, so I am hoping I will continue working out.0 -
Cravings, mainly on graveyard shifts or when I'm hangry.. then I binge to compensate for the hangry feeling.. then I hate myself, and workout extra hard, and its a vicious cycle.0

Mexican food. There is a restaurant down the street and they all know my whole family so its hard to pass up. Ive learned what I can and cant eat there though. Other than that it's eating while im driving... not sure what it is but I feel like I have to have something on my drive :ohwell:0

yes this is what you should do....94lbs is too little for a grown woman to weigh.
ETA: nothing is keeping me from reaching my goal. 1lb away...(actually 1/2lb)...and after this summer I may re-evaluate and at that point nothing wil stop me either...0 -
Lying to myself. My body doesn't get on board with the "this tiny handful of peanut butter M&Ms won't count if I don't log it" technique. Also, dinner portions.
I've been much, much more precise with weighing and measuring this week AND I bought a set of portion control kitchen utensils off Amazon that will help me gauge my dinner portions better. I still have no idea what a cup of spaghetti looks like.0 -
So far nothing, but I know myself and that is why I plan to keep logging at least a few years, probably longer. Until I have lost all my weight and maintained it at least a few years, I am logging.
Since I have gone over to managing my own diet, weighing all solids in grams is working out much better for me, I mean it is eaiser to just weigh them, tare the plate, weigh the next one, and I am not so focused on 1 cup of this or 4 oz. of that, although mindful of my portion sizes, I eat a little (but not too much) more now that I started lifting.0 -

For most it's going to be: Lack of consistency and lack of commitment. Keep those 2 and one WILL reach goal.

Social activities. I have a hard time sticking to my goals when everyone else is eating and drinking. Poor willpower, I guess.0

Confession: Last night I had a fat girl moment! I binged on organic blue corn chips and roasted red pepper hummus!!!! It sounds funny to type it/say it out loud given where I've come from (foodwise) but still, I binged! That is what keeps me from reaching my goals! I self-sabotage. It's like the minute I'm making progress (I noticed I had slimmed down a bit yesterday) I do something to sabotage that progress. It's not even something I'm aware of until it's done and I'm sitting there, bloated and miserable wondering why in the hell I did that!! I don't know why I do that, because I certainly don't want to be stuck in this fat suit for the rest of my life, I just really need to figure it out so I can release the weight and get to the healthiest/best version of me I can be!!!!! Whew, thanks for letting me vent!!!!:smokin:0

Too much food and not enough movement. I'm losing, but MUCH slower then I would like. I'm still struggling with portion control - I still want to eat even if I'm not hungry. And even though I workout 5 days a week, when I'm not exercising, I'm very lazy. Like now, instead of cleaning (which really needs to get done), I'm playing on the computer.0
