work rumor says....

,,,that my weight loss is due to bariatric surgery.... SO NOT TRUE.... I have worked extremely hard and have watched every morsel of food that goes in my mouth. I started my journey on July 1, 2013 and while I choose not to weigh myself except for when I started, I think it is safe to assume that I may have dropped around 75-80 pounds. I was wearing a size 18 (tight) and am now wearing a loose size 6.

It makes me crazy when my assistant tells me that yet another person has approached her and asks if I had surgery to lose weight. She knows the truth and she sets them straight. I suspect the reason why they ask my assistant is because (1) I am part of the management team and (2) for most, English is their second language.

How do you handle this? I don't think I should have to broadcast my eating and exercise plan to anyone, but have gladly shared details with those who do take the time out to ask. Why is it so difficult for some people to realize that people can successfully change their lifestyle with a little hard work and dedication without resorting to elective surgery?? arggghhhhhhhhhhhh
