Same foods - does it affect weightloss?

Im in my first week (official weigh in on monday), for breakfast EVERY morning I have a bowl of porridge and a cup of coffee. Does it matter that i have the same thing or will it slow down my weightloss? I have porridge becuase it warms me up on these cold mornings and its quick and easy. im not a huge fan of cereal on a morning and I dont really have time to make anything else! x

    food is food. It is what is in it that matters. Your body doesn't care as it only sees sugars, carbo, protiens and so on.
  • I have been eating a bowl of cheese grits with a poached egg on top forever and I have lost a ton of weight:bigsmile:

    I have porridge and coffee every morning for my breakfast too. Porridge (oatmeal) is a great choice, it keeps you full all morning!

  • I too have a bowl of porridge every morning. It fills me up so I'm not hungry for hours. I add prunes or a banana and soya milk. The great thing about having the same thing every day is that you don't have to think about it, and it becomes a habit.

    I sometimes go weeks and weeks eating exactly the same foods every single day for every meal.

    Hasn't affected my losses.
