Females with really broad necks regardless of weight :/

Bit of a random, although genuine question, have any girls lost inches from their neck?

I'm 5'5" 138.5 pounds and my neck is 14.5", I'm kind of a top heavy shape, is it wishful thinking that the my neck might shrink along with the old gut or have I been buggered by random thick neck genetics. :P

Cheers for anyone who chooses to satisfy my curiosity, or leave a witty anecdote.

I'll just leave this apt "fill in the lyrics" Disney song here:-

"No one's slick as Gaston
No one's quick as Gaston
No one's ___k's as incredibly thick as Gaston's"

    I've never measured my neck...
I mean, I think it's possible to lose if you do have fat around your face/chin/neck area. But other than that, I don't think you can really shrink it much more than that.

Is 14.5" a broad neck? That's what mine measures and I've never thought of myself as having a thick neck, so it seems normal to me.
That was what my neck measured back in college, too, at 120 pounds.

I think the neck is mostly structural unless obese.

I have quite a short neck and quite broad shoulders too, it's probably not that thick I only felt that way because I could never wear choker chains or high collared shirts. :/

There's probably a bit of fat there still as I put my weight on my top half but I guess it's mostly structural, sorry it was a very random question thought out loud in public :P

When i read this, i immediately thought that if you were an opera singer, you'd be a soprano. A larger neck means you're vocal folds have more space to stretch. It doesn't help with your inquiry, but a definite boon if you sing!
