Not Losing:-( Help

My new year's resolution was to lose 15lbs by memorial day for a trip to NY. Well, that's two weeks away and I have only lost 10lbs in 4.5 months!!! I originally weighed 130, height 5'2". I am trying to get down to 115 which was my pre-pregnancy weight. I started with Atkins and lost about 5lbs then nothing. Then, I switched to low cal. I got 1400 cal per day from MFP. I lost the other 5 doing that and now nothing! I work out at least 4 times per week burning about 500 calories at each workout. Most of my workouts have been cardio (hiking, running, cycling). Finished my first half marathon last week... YAY. I am starting to add strength training and switching to Keto diet this week. I am disappointed that these last 5lbs refuse to come off for my trip to NY in two weeks. My skinny jeans miss me:-(. Please help with any advice.

    at 5'2", 120 is a completely perfect weight! sometimes your body just knows when to stop losing. perhaps that's your body's way of saying "i'm good where i am"?

    Being more consistent with your exercise will help you to get rid of those last few pounds. To really get good/fast results, you really need to exercise 5-6 times/week. Keep hitting those weights too. Heavy lifting is a great way to burn body fat.

    More importantly though, getting your nutrition on point is where you'll get your results. You cannot outwork a bad diet. What are your macros?

    Thanks so much. I started weight training this week so I am hoping that helps. I may have to invest in a personal trainer since I have no idea what the heck I am doing when it comes to weights and the proper form.

    Be careful on eating back calories from workouts. General feeling is that MFP over estimates it. Use a HRM if you can. Should work well for running, hiking, and cycling.

    Don't forget that loss isn't linear. You say, "then nothing." How long of a span is that? I have had a couple of 2 week periods when I've lost nothing, but then see some steady drops over the following week or 2 that get me back on expected average. And since you are (hopefully) at a half or one pound a week goal, you'd be more prone to see streaks like that, since a single pound of fat loss can easily be masked by some extra water or other things hanging out in your system waiting to be flushed out.

    As long as you have your activity level set properly, are logging foods accurately, and not overeating back exercise calories, you'll lose weight.

    Forget about the last five lbs and just lift heavy weights. Your body composition will change more from that than from losing weight.

    10 lbs in 5 months. That's two pounds a month or a half pound a week. For a tiny gal, congrats! You're on schedule! If weight loss is your primary goal I say keep doing what you're doing and be patient. If you setup MFP to lose more than 1/2 lb a week when you setup your goals, and have been following this plan, you may wish to verify that you're eating what you think you are or burning what you think you are. If you don't weigh and measure all your food, start. And do some research on accuracy of calories burned from exercise and adjust as necessary.

    My real recommendation , though: you're doing great, keep it up!

    Your weight is perfect but I feel you, I wanted to loose 20 pounds before my trip to the Bahamas and I only lost 15 but I looked great so it really didn't matter. You are the only person that knows the extra five pounds are still there. Enjoy your trip! FYI; I am 5'2 and only went from 209Ibs to 194 and it took 3 1/2 months but it looked like I lost way more weight then that because I was working out with it check your measurements that might make you feel better.
