Hello Guys,

My name is Alex- I'm 23 years old and I'm tired of being called chubby or not being able to wear a bikini. I signed up for lucille roberts and i go 5-6 days a week, if i can;t go to the gym then i do a 45 min Shaun T Hip Hop abs workout in my house lol. I'm determined to lose 20 pounds in the next 2-3 months so i'm hoping for some results, if you guys have any tips for me, please let me know!

The best advice I can give you is to stick with it. Stick with it through the frustration, stick with it through the temptations and the upsets. Just STICK WITH IT!! you can do this!

Welcome! Biggest tip I can give is log everything! Hold yourself accountable for all that you consume and all of the exercise that you do too! This site is wonderful!!! Lots of encouragement and support here!

I have been on my fitness pal for about 2 weeks now and i have never had so much support and encouragement. i was afraid to weigh in the first week just because i didnt think i would lose like everyone else and what do you know i lost 3 pounds from just counting calories alone. You have definitely came to the right place. Good luck and we look forward to your future success. the hard part is already over :)

    Hello There,

All i could give advice on is don't make it about a number, you will eventually get there by being determined and eating right and exercising. The rest will come and the scale is just a number, let's make it the right one!!!!
  • thanks guys! this is such a motivating site. I hope we all get to our goals! :)
  • Something I keep forgetting to tell folks is that once you set your goals and stats establishing a calorie goal... it's one day at a time. Take each day one at a time. TODAY you want to limit your calories to just below what MFP says you can have. TODAY you want to hit that goal while also getting exercise above what you normally do in a day. TODAY you want to eat healthier with more whole grains and vegetables. TOMORROW is a new day, and you must focus on those same goals without dwelling on what happened the day prior.

You can do it. When you feel frustrated, post in the forums. Staying motivated is the hardest part, because dieting is a lifestyle change.
