The title speaks for itself.
Whether you've been doing it for a while or have only just recently achieved it, I just wanted to know what training programme you followed or are following to achieve it

My current 10k PB is 42:50. It's been my goal ever since I started running back in 2010 to break that elusive 40 minutes barrier in the 10k. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

My goal is to break 40 min in 6 weeks. I have been using Greg McMillan's "YOU (only faster)" book with the 10k plan it has (the one that has you running 4-5 days per week, I choose to run 5 days per week.) It has 2 easy days, two speedier days (one is more tempo in nature, the other interval), and one long run per week. My first ever 10k race was 43 min, so I have more to shave off than you, but I really think McMillan's philosophy works. I enjoyed customizing the plan to my style and recovery as prescribed by the book.

I am also doing two strength training days, a plyo day and Yoga with one full rest day and one rest day that has one of these other workouts on it (usually one of the lifting ones or plyo).

I used his same book with the marathon plan and met my goal to qualify for Boston!

Thanks for that! I'll definitely look it up.
