tucking your elbows should just involve the triceps more and consequently allow you to lift less weight

If you use a power rack alone then you know another good reason why you should arc
that.

Also, watch these. I thought they had a lot of good information. It's especially useful if you want to learn how to protect your shoulders.

It's threads like these that make me realize how little I actually know about lifting. I've never arched but I'm sure as hell going to look into it and likely start doing it.

I'm in a battle against my aging body to improve my form and get a real arch, but arching is definitely the way to go. There are a variety of good videos on youtube from reputable individuals showing how to improve your form. Spend some time studying them and then video yourself so you can improve.0
