NSD - Non Scale Drawback?

A couple of months ago, I posted a tongue-in-cheek complaint about how my weight loss caused me to have to discard a new suit that I had only worn once.

A second unfortunate aspect of it occurred again yesterday.

People sit next to me on trains and airplanes now. Used to be my girth tended to cause people to keep walking by and looking for a smaller person to sit next to, leaving me with leg and elbow room to spare. I've suddenly become a desirable seat companion. While other middle seats on airplanes still lie vacant, fellow travelers now choose the one next to me. My days of putting my carry-on underneath the seat beside is over. *sigh =)

It is funny how the smaller you get the more you matter . . . no longer the unseen invisible person with the wide girth  It did have it positive points!
